A year ago I had no idea how to focus on the foreground and have the background out of focus. I still mutter " Smaller the number, the bigger hole, the less the focus" to myself, which really makes Him laugh!
This April I am revisiting themes or photos I took in my first month on 365 to see how my composition and camera skills have evolved. The photo I'm copying today is here and if you have time you can have a quick peek.
Thank you so much for fav. I can't believe I crouched down to take a shot of a tatty bike leant on a wall! No way would I have done that a year ago!!!!
I still struggle with this and get so frusrated. For ISO I remember back to my film days and remember I need bright sunlight for 100 and 400 was a good mid range. For f stop I remember f11 is best for landscape so that means focus is almost like infinity. And for shutter speed I learned early on that 160 is the slowest I can do hand held. So when I panic I think about these things. The unfocused back ground is hardes because I don't have a prime. or a lens that normally goes to less than f4.5. So I stand in the park mujttering these things to myself sure people are going to take the long way around me. So don't feel alone.next time you are repeating your que's. Remember more of us are with you.
@joansmor landscape I put turny wheel onto mountains icon!!!
I rarely look at the speed, something I need to learn this year. I know if you match number on lens (?focal length) to shutter speed less chance of shake. So glad others mutter!!!!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond My camera has anti shake which is good for this old lady. I got some new filters (density with gradient) and have to learn the best way to use them. Always something to learn.
365 eyes!
