I don't like to question the mental health of my neighbors, but who in the world thinks knitting a cover for a stop sign is a good use of time and energy? It must have been a labor of love.
@asrai Thank you Lee! Obviously I am not hip, cool or up on my trends. I'll have to start looking more closely at my surroundings. I am immediately adding these terms as tags.
Read Lee's article link and all I can say is now I KNOW some people have too much time on their hands! Anyway- nice catch. You do find some interesting things in your neighborhood!
Yarnbombing is taking over the world! We were at a festival last year with knitted covers on bikes, benches, lamp posts, bus stops... Fun capture of this jumper - maybe stop signs get cold...
Good shot.
My daughter Lynda did a lot of this a few years ago. It looked quite nice. Some people used to stare at her when she sewed it on a tree, others used to ask her what it was all about. Good fun.
HAHAHA! I agree with you. I can't imagine doing this. But a local woman here writes a landscaping blog and she posted some very pretty samples of this yarn bombing.
