This will come as no surprise to any of you familiar with U.S. geography, but the azaleas are already in bloom in central Florida. John, Maddie and I took a little walk in the neighborhood and found azaleas in all shades of red and pink but none prettier than this white variety.
What makes it even more enjoyable is reading my good friend Karen's (@hwy61) note on Facebook that she is in Buffalo, NY, visiting family, and it is 27 degrees. I think the Germans had a word for this feeling-- "Schadenfreud" meaning pleasure derived from the misfortune of others. It is not a desirable character trait. I am trying to do better.
What a gorgeous photo of the azaleas! I've seen many in the pink shades and the reds, but I think that this white is beautiful. Wonderful lighting and great clarity. We have the same temps here as your friend in Buffalo. :)
