Acres of Blue by allie912

Acres of Blue

This charming ground cover is called ajuga. I got that information from naturalist/science teacher/master gardener Ellen. I've written about her so often I think I will dispense with the adjectives from now on. Suffice it to say, she is my go-to gal for all things growing. This week when I look out the library I see this blanket of deep blue surrounding the outdoor classroom. It is a refreshing sight, and makes me think of lavender fields in Provence.
what a magnificent collage! love the framing too, Allison ~

She must be quite the gardener, and I bet her home garden looks fantastic.

@digitalrn Not to take away from Ellen's gifts, but this area was cultivated by our school's landscaping department.

@allie912 Ok, thank you for clarifying that, but I bet she has a great garden at her home if you ever had the opportunity to see it.
