Traffic Fatality

I tried to get back in my normal routine today and went for a walk in the early afternoon. I came upon this poor creature, left for dead on the asphalt. There were a few clues that convinced me that no medical treatment would bring him back.
1. The slight smile on his face
2. The multicolored tail
3. The product label on his lower abdomen
I still had hopes that loved ones would arrive and give him a proper burial, so I continued my walk. I hope he is gone tomorrow. He deserves better.
