If this were a cucumber, you might be looking forward to harvesting a crisp delicious specimen very soon. Unfortunately this is a watermelon volunteer, and I don't know how much longer it can hang on before dropping to the ground. Of course, it might just gradually droop down to earth where it will continue to thrive. We'll just have to wait and see. From its location outside the playground gazebo, I'm guessing this is the product of a watermelon seed spitting contest.
