Red Riding Hood went into business for herself after doing away with the big bad wolf that ate her granny. I watched her and her coworkers in action out my back window today.
I found it funny how three men in matching red hoodies were up on ladders, working side by side. It seemed worthy of a photo and my project needed some color. Man, I feel so bad for people who work out in the elements on a day like today. The high is 34 degrees (that is the high, people) and it is snowing on and off.
The guy on the left is a level-headed guy warming his hands while waiting for the guy in the middle to hand him the measuring tape. The red hoodies are for visibility for when their hands get too cold to hang on and they fall off the ladder and into a snowbank. There is probably a fourth guy in the heated van with the motor running and a cup of hot coffee on alert in case he needs to shovel someone out.
We're all having way more fun with this than the poor frozen guys in the photo! Love the red hoodies and the white snow -- well spotted and wonderfully captioned, Amanda!
Thanks for your comments, friends. I wonder if they will be back in their red hoods tomorrow? Not sure which of the 3 was the real red. They may all have been imitations. Poor guys. I'll bet they are enjoying their warm houses tonight.
Some great compositional things going on here! I love how the guy on the left looks despondent in his pose, when he's really probably just leaning down to grab something.
The guy on the left was that way for awhile...I took a bunch of shots and he was doing the same thing. Taking a little snooze, I think;-). Thanks for your comments guys and thanks so much for appreciating this scene with me. So fun and sad. Today was a lovely day and they were back. Only one red riding hood in the bunch though:(.
@edie You are sweet, Edie. Thanks, friend. What a funny sight, huh?
@judithg I'm telling you. They were back the next day, but not in their riding hoods. I was sad, but then happy that I caught them when they were. Thanks for your comments, Judith!
@emrob Thanks, lady. I am so ready for spring. Love the snow, but want some more greenery and blue skies for a change. Hurry up!!!
@wenbow I know. What a waste that they just painted and now they are redoing the siding. Bummer for the workers and the people's bank accounts. But it is sooooo hot in the summer. Either end of the spectrum is pretty miserable. Thank goodness, I don't work outdoors for a living.

@bpaquette Hilarious. I'll bet you are right!

@frida I don't know. The next day, none of them were in their riding hoods!
@netkonnexion Thanks, Damon. I love to spot strange things like this!
