This was a concept shot that just struck me this week. It is a very edited photo. The bridge shot I took last summer when I was in the UP.
I was thinking about burning bridges this week, why we do it, the times that I have. And thought that I would try to illustrate with a photo. The lightning and fire are edited in...I am not that amazing a photographer to time such things like this.
Anyway, have you ever burned a bridge? I sure have a time or two. At least 1 time was work related. It kinda stinks to do it, but sometimes it's necessary to burn that sucker down.
Oh yeah! Burn those bridges and move on .... my philosophy :-) How cool how you illustrated that in this photo. I can't imagine how you did this, but it worked perfectly even with the reflections. Will definitely have to give it a fav for creative imagination & processing.
I love it Amanda! I try not to burn bridges now that I am older and wiser, but I know I have in the past. What's funny is I know a lot of people who have burned bridges with me... hmmm, maybe I'm just too stubborn.
@eyeamlisa I try not to as well, but sometimes it just happens. And sometimes, it must. I'm stubborn, too. I really try to be a forgiving person. Can't think of anyone off the top of my head that has burned bridges with me. Anyway, thanks so much!

@amandal of course I recognized the bridge. Didn't try the pastures and didn't mispronounced because i had a funny feeling it wouldn't be like i thought so i asked how to pronounce before attempting
why are we having a bit of insufficiency these days? can i whack you upside on the head to bring you to your senses? playfully of course. listen, kiddo. you are good. this thing, i wouldn't know the first thing how to process anything like this except cut and paste. this is beautifully edited/processed. and the writing, you write rather well, with complete words and not text-shortened. you get people to read your writing and look at your photograph. that is an everyday accomplishment. that is excellent. now gather yourself and feel confident. by the way, why are we burning bridges? :-)

@jsw0109 Hee hee!:) Thanks, friend. I'm getting all funky with my edits lately. Someone said that they don't even recognize my work as mine anymore. Hope that is good and not bad. I just try to mix it up, you know...can't wait for next week. Guess what, I think I have access to a St Peppers costume. Would that fit for day 1?
Oh my gosh, does the mayor know that the bridge is on fire! Great processing! I'm reminded of an "I Love Lucy" episode where Ricky Ricardo says something like, "Don't burn your bridges before they're hatched" or something like that. Oh well, whatever it was it was funny. @graemestevens Ha! I hadn't even thought of the fire bit for you. Cold?! Sorry. We got chillier in the latter bit of the week, but luckily not cold. Getting summery here. Pools open up this weekend.
