This week, I went on a walk in our neighborhood woods. I found these tiny curling ferns at the base of a mossy tree. I'd never seen this before and was so excited as I have always loved curled up fern shots on here.
I feel like these ferns right now, groggy from a nap. Today I am babysitting almost all day long. I had a couple other kids over this morning for 4 hours and have round 2 in another hour or so with 3 extra kids. Eating with 5 kids for lunch was sheer craziness. Tonight it will be 6 kids for dinner. I will sleep well tonight!
Thank you sooo much for your sweetness that landed Mike's big feet (and Clara's adorable little toesies) on the PP and for all the love of the shot of Lucas standing guard in the chapel. It was awarded with "Photo of the Day" on my newest photo site I joined, a local one for me called "Capture Cincinnati." What a cool honor.
@linnypinny It's cool in that I have one follower and have only posted 3 photos there thus far. So I am not popular, but I guess the shot is good. It's encouraging:). Thanks!
These are called "Fiddle Head" ferns and are edible!! I've been told some people like to saute them in butter and garlic and others cut them up in a salad! I could never get beyond the hairy heads to eat one!! Great capture!
Love these little fernies!! It's like nature unfurling!!
Damn, where is that photo of the feet? I saw it on FB and loved it, but have to find and FAV it here!! ;-))
