Not the most scenic of perches but I continue to be amazed at the clarity obtainable shooting through a window.

Wonderful capture of this sweet goldfinch! When I was in Canada the week after Christmas I shot all my bird photos through the patio door...I was hesitant at first thinking they wouldn't be clear but my brother-in-law (who is a professional photographer) assured me that if I adjusted the contrast the images should be fine, and he was right. :-)

I was told to stick the end of the lens right up against the window glass - it worked for shooting baby amur tigers.
