Apple, Pear, Fig and Lamp

Certainly better than previous attempt, Moni will comment ( rightly) on the lack of shadows but omitting them ruins this less than including them.

Compared to Moni and Ellen I can see how I was nervous with painting the glass chimney and my brush-strokes are not strong so it fades into the background. I do like that I included the lamp's workings and omitted the cloth!
Compared to yesterday, this one is prettier.

I like the fruit, in retrospect, should have done a bowl!!

Desr meee!!!! This is sooooo amazing! I don't know where to start from!!!!
(Ok, i'll close my eyes on the missing shadows ;) - am i that scary? )
First of all: you did it the second time!!! Awesome!
Then: you have glass there. It's definitely glass. I have no idea how you could give the bottom part some volume (glass is so difficult), but i am sure the top element has volume. Reslly!!! Those reflections of the collar and of the fruit onto the glass... those are genius.
Then: The fruit. They are awesome!!!! You've done them so well!!!! And to give up the two appkes for three fruit. You are terrific.
And the piece de resistance (not sure if the spelling is correct, but now it doesn't matter): the colour palette!!!! To switch greens for blues... and so lovely tones. Which go so well with the colours in the fruit.
This is so creative and beautiful! You've done a terrific painting here, girl! I can't get enough of it.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond love the background and the lantern is sublime. Kudos to you for giving it a second go. Adding your own spin on the picture is so creative. It was most definitely well worth the effort.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I didn't read all the description you added (shame on me). Only after reading your text did it occur that the cloth is missing. But that would have been superfluous. You were right not to add it.
And yes, when compared to the previous, this is certainly better mostly because it has you in it. I mean your touch.

@monikozi Monika, I really value your feedback, I think we all do, and you love your shadows hahaha. Thank you for taking the time to look and see and then type, I do ruly apreciate the tips and hints.
@wakelys if you and Cazzi hadn't like it I wouldn't have uploaded it!
@salza Thank you Sally, I lost almost a day doing this and really enjoyed myself following three different fruit tutorials, (all were watercolour ones though!) and then looking at Jean's photo, deciding it was too difficult and doing my own thing!

I do think the pear looks like it's got a cat's bum (and now you cannot unsee that!!)

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Love the way that you painted glass! Wow! The fig is also very good! You’re an artist truly...

love all the variations on this theme, you put your own stamp on it, the fruit in particular are delightfully rendered

@30pics4jackiesdiamond The fruits are so believably perfect! I love the background color which seems to give me more body to the glass! Everything you’ve done here is amazing and I am incredibly impressed with your skills

@grammyn well thank you do much Katy, I copied the fruits from YouTube, hence they're ok, lamp from my head!!
@kali66 I'm learning so much from my friends on this group Kali and trying stuff I had no idea I could do. Photography stuff all on floor at the moment, but tomorrow doing my 'fear' get pushed!!
@jacqbb thank you Jacq, who would have know you could Google How to paint a Fig?!

Do you see the cat's bum on the pear?? Wonder how I can fix it?!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I too, think this is such an accomplishment. The glass of the lamp globe is so wonderful, and I love that you can see the texture of the wall through it. The workings of the lamp are really good, such detail! The base globe is excellent, I had such a time getting the design right. I also really like the pallet, blue is my favorite color. So glad you exercised your artist license to interpret it your way with the variety of fruit.

@theredcamera thank you, I've put it in a frame and hung it up, wondering who I could gift it to?!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond - i think i'll go ahead and do it, too, even if she doesn't reply. we can just put our own twists so she can't complain we plagiarized her photo, n'est-ce pas? looking forward to your finished painting.
