A watercolour rose copied from a tutorial that my mum subscribes to and completed over weeks rather than days as I don't have a lot of painting time at the moment. I need to work on shadows but happy with the end result. It was painted onto A3 so it really is quite large and framed with the helped of an app.

@serendypyty Cazzi this is stupendous and really shows the benefit of taking time, stopping and following instructions! The details are amazing, with that joke in the petal and those little blemishes. This is so life like, I thought it was a photo!! I love you've framed it to hang it.
@serendypyty - cazzi, this looks great, so life-like. the shading is perfect; the details stunning, especially the rot in the petal. almost makes me want to paint something in watercolour. almost, not quite. yet. aces!

My oh my! I can swear i almost felt its smell.
I'm not sure what shadows you want to work on.
It is where it belongs: framed.
Compliments!
@serendypyty this is just stunning, Cazzi. Definitely worth taking that little bit of extra time to complete. I have contemplated trying out watercolours. You are making me think that I should. It's a medium that I haven't experimented with.
@serendypyty you have a amazing patience and fabulous skills! This is a very industrious undertaking because of its size. You have done a fabulous job of shading so that the petals are in 3-D!
@serendypyty Oh! My! What a lovely image! It really is gorgeous and I agree, I feel as if I should be able to smell the soft warm perfume. Very skillful and a great lesson in what industry and patience brings. Thank for sharing it with us.
