Celebrating the 19th Amendment

Women's voices matter.

Passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote. The 19th amendment guarantees all American women the right to vote. Achieving this milestone required a lengthy and difficult struggle; victory took decades of agitation and protest. Black men and women had to fight for decades more for this right. The fight goes on.
Nicely captured and well said!

Beautifully posed moggie!

UK women ( over 30!) got vote in February 1918, had to resort to terrorism to attain suffrage equality, and the fight for equality of representation for all continues a century later ( ooh get me getting political!- apologies !)
