It's a very different Thanksgiving, but one filled with many joys. A new start for the country, hope for vaccines, health and the quest for Peace on Earth.
We'll have a quiet Thanksgiving for two with all the favorite family vegetable fixings. Instead of a big roasted turkey with more joining around the table, it will be a tiny Cornish Hen, stuffed and roasted.
I'm hoping for a healthier and more equitable Thanksgiving next year, addressing the growing hunger and food insecurities plaguing our nation. I hope we can begin to be better stewards of the land and all of our inhabitants. Unlike my 8th great grandparents, Pilgrims John Alden and Priscilla Mullens, can we share without one privileged group taking all? One can hope.
