Now if the town Gas Inspector returns our calls and arrives with the Gas Company, we can turn on the boiler. We can hope it works as it did before we were good homeowners and decided to insulate and add a dehumidifier. Old house, new problems.
Today we had the 'Fan in a Can' installed to add compressed air so the gas boiler can breathe again. That's the tall skinny thing in the lower left corner. It takes air from outside when the boiler kicks on. Then the electrician came to wire it. Next, in the afternoon, three guys from Dry Zone Basement Systems came and switched out a larger dehumidifier for a smaller one, lower right hand corner. We need the electrician back to install a dedicated circuit for it, but for now it's running on an extension cord. Job complete. The trouble began February 19th.
I feel better today, still a nagging headache, but Tylenol helps that and my tiredness along with being very grateful for the vaccine!
