It was worth getting up at 5 am to see this on my commute to work!

Summer Dawn. I'd forgotten to reset my camera settings to my "normal" state and so the raw shot was quite a bit darker than I'd expected. Yes, it was darker than this image. I tweaked it until I got this image, which is as close as I could get to the way the sky looked when I passed this intersection. I caught the shot at the right moment, because within a couple of minutes the sun began to peep over the horizon and the deep colors faded to washed out pastels-still pretty but not anywhere as striking as what it looked like when I took this photo.
