The blackbirds are very busy feeding the young at the moment I have at least 3 nests in the back garden , so the overgrown bushes can not be trimmed till a later date when all have fledged the nests . Had a thunderstorm yesterday afternoon , but still humid and hot!
They have been overly active at our feeder this year to the point they are pests. They tend to gorge themselves when feeding devouring a block of suet in no time.
A great capture of this blackbird with something good to eat clutched in its beak! How wonderful to have this activity happening in your yard! I wonder how long it takes for the young ones to fledge. Fav!
Very nice capture. I don’t really know where all our birds have gone. We had a mockingbird for awhile, then a robin and a couple of small birds, but now only the doves.
