My fire place by beryl

My fire place

This fireplace I designes in Westmorland Slate and had it made for us when we first moved into this house in the early 1980s We kept it as an open fire for some years until working full time took priority over setting ,lighting a fire and cleaning the ashes on a daily bases !! We then had a gas fire fitted in the grate but by now it had exceeded its useful life and had started to become expensive to service and repair I decided to purchase an elecric fire to fit on
the hearth and I am extremely delighted with the one I chose Ps -- sorry for the lack of comments today but I am feeling rough with a head cold and a continuous cough !

Beautiful fireplace. I can imagine why you are delighted with the electric fire. Nice decorations too.
