Cole's second attempt at the long-jump. We had to leave the meet to run errands and get back home for an appointment Ken had. We had gotten to the meet at 9 a.m. and none of Cole's events were called for the first two hours! Chilly and windy and nowhere to sit, really. Sad not to see him at the discus throw, which our son said didn't happen until almost day's end! (3:30?) Anyway, Cole reported to us later that he threw the discus 61 1/2 feet! I'm impressed, even though it wasn't good enough for him to qualify for the Meet of Champs next week. Congratulations, Cole! You're the man!
