This is the latest mural in a series known as Walking with Giants. The City of Edmonton has comissioned a number of different artists to portray individuals are events that have a significance to Edmonton.
These five women were instrumental in establishing the right for women to vote. They played a significant role in The Persons Case that was before the Supreme Court of Canada in 1929 that saw women declared to be recognized as "persons".
Each of these women lived for a portion of their lives here in Edmonton and three of them were Members of the Alberta Legislature.
Each of them have had parks named after them and now they are recognized in this wonderful piece of art
