Today we went with Melody's Mom and Dad to a thanksgiving service. They had the children collect cookies from adults in the congregation to be given to the ESL program that is run during the week. The children were told that the people who were taking this program were from other countries and that they were learning how to speak English and that the cookies would be used during the coffee breaks that they took during the day. We thought that this was very good lesson for the children to learn.
So the children brought all of the cookies to the front and included them in the Thanksgiving display
Although we don not have thanksgiving at this side of the globe, I do like the idea and the way it is filled in here. And then I like the picture of course.
