vintage building

So continuing looking through some old photos I came across this one. This is in the Rossdale neighbourhood in Edmonton. The building is an old brewery that was built back in 1898. It served that purpose until business became so busy for the owner he needed to expand. Instead of expanding at this location he chose to build a completely new building in a new location. This building over the years has seen a number of tenants and is the oldest unaltered industrial building in the province. Currently it is sitting vacant and the new owner is considering turning this into a B & B which I think would be a neat idea.
I had some fun with this one as I usually do not edit my photos but decided to try giving this a bit of a vintage look to it
I like the processing. Makes me want to see the building up close!

The processing is great for this shot. I don't know if I've ever heard of someone turning an industrial building in to a B & B, but that is a very intriguing idea!

Very nice processing, especially for this photo of an historic building. I hope the new owner finds a purpose for the building.

It would probably have a pretty big room in it - could be used as a ball room?

@olivetreeann The owner of the building has created some rather unique buildings in our city some of which I have featured on my project. He designed our current city hall with its pyramids and the old Alberta Hotel

November 18th, 2013
@bkbinthecity You make me feel old. lol Actually most of my B&W photos are from my Mom. I have so many paper photos but want to get to the old ones first so I can ask my Mom about them. Have fun with your Mom's photos. It is nice to do this while they are with us so they can explain them to us if we do not know the people or places.
