Today I found out that the father of a friend I used to work with passed away. That makes seven friends of ours who have had a family member of theirs pass away. All of this since the beginning of December. So I thought I would post a shot of this plaque that hangs in our hallway, the words describe the way those people lived their lives and this is a tribute to all of them
Nice. Reminds me of: "God has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." Also reminds me of the Mercy Me song that uses those words.
This is a wonderful tribute to the friends you've lost. Looks like a beautiful version you have hanging on your wall. Prayers for comfort to all of those suffering these losses.
I attended the funeral of a wonderful 102 year old lady this week. The Vicar ended the service by reminding us of the Commandment:
Love Your Neighbour as Yourself.
If only the warring nations would follow this simple piece of advice.
That is a beautiful saying. Nice shot. My sympathies to all your friends. It is not easy to lose a parent even when they've lived a full and long life.
I, too, offer my condolences to you and your friends.
Ian
