So a new museum opened in Edmonton on the weekend. It is an outdoor neon sign museum.
A group of collectors got together and have found a number of old neon signs that were in storage and had them restored.
They then found owners of a building that were willing to let them install them on the side of that building. Currently there are eight signs with more being worked on.
This was a well known sign that was on Mike's News on Jasper Avenue for many years. He carried newspapers from all over the place.
I think it is so cool to see the past come alive once again. This week I will be posting a few of these great signs
What a great idea for a museum! There is something about neon signs that make them so iconic- no matter whose business they are advertising. This will be a fun series and it's off to a great start!
