First of the Month by bkbinthecity

First of the Month

I have a collection of Norman Rockwell prints and I thought of this one today.
At the end of each month Melody and I go over our budget so this a familiar sight in our household.
This print first appeared on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post on Feb. 26, 1921
Nice print! You and Melody should recreate it yourselves!

In art school, the teachers were a bit dismissive of Rockwell as "just an illustrator", but he's an icon and captured wonderful slices of life that we all relate to! Thanks for sharing this!

@bkbinthecity No, I haven't. They need to be re-hung in the den, and I am missing one plate hanger (the other broke). They used to be in the kitchen and I rearranged everything on the walls there a few years ago. Reminds me to check on e-Bay and see if I can find a plate hanger. I can't find one in the stores :-)
March 2nd, 2014
Wonderful, do you have these prints on your walls?
