Sealed Shut by bkbinthecity

Sealed Shut

Today I had some free time downtown before meeting Melody after work. So I could not think of anything better to do than go for a photo walk. I decided to take a shot in one of the back alleyways of one of the old warehouses. The brick sealed windows is what caught my eye when I passed by this building
Great shot

Interesting observation. Great capture of all those bricks and the sealed window openings.

Very cool POV...great textures and love the vintage look. Nicely done!
May 13th, 2014
Wow, I can't imagine all the work someone went through to board those windows...Wonder why? Intriguing image!
May 13th, 2014
This is very cool. I've never seen anyone cover windows with bricks before.
May 13th, 2014
What a great old building they were made strong in them days:)
May 13th, 2014
Wonderful, b&w suits this very much
May 13th, 2014
Love urban photos.
May 13th, 2014
Nice shot - I like the feel of it too.
May 13th, 2014
Lovely find. I like the textures and the lines of the bricks.
May 13th, 2014
Awesome building and love the b/w processing. The darker door seems to anchor the photo, really a great capture! Fav!
May 13th, 2014
Love the use of B&W here! The texture is just beautiful! x
May 13th, 2014
That looks a very wide door.....interesting to see the windows bricked up.
May 13th, 2014
Oh Wow. Good shot. This photo evokes an impression of a forlorn existence, the sealed windows, the gloomy well-worn dock door, the sole empty chair. I wouldn't want to work there.
May 13th, 2014
How interesting to see this! Perfect in b & w and great composition. I wonder if any one ever sits in that chair?
May 13th, 2014
The building looks sad. Why is it bricked up?
May 13th, 2014
Very interesting. I love the look in B&W
May 13th, 2014
I love forlorn back ways so nice to see one here
May 13th, 2014
Nice gritty urban shot, I like it.
May 13th, 2014
Interesting shot, Makes you wonder what's behind,
May 13th, 2014
Cool shot. The bricked windows do make a stark contrast with the rest of the building. Such a shame to see empty spaces like this - Lucy

c'est une honte de voir des maison vides . bien capture
May 13th, 2014
Great find and capture. In our country you can find them on old buildings. In those day`s there where a tax to pay on windows. So they sealed the windows as much as they can.
May 13th, 2014
Great image bkb. Not many of the hundreds of shoppers see this.
May 13th, 2014
That is amazing. Great eye. I might not have noticed it, but those windows are closed forever.
May 13th, 2014
That is really interesting about the brick filled windows. Good eye and a great shot.
May 13th, 2014
Great shot, and you still have your wallet
May 13th, 2014
Fascinating wall. I like it it when I find places like this. Especially when old buildings get torn down, you can find strange features on the neighboring buildings...
May 14th, 2014
Good shot- it's sad and solid all at the same time.
May 14th, 2014
