On one of our drives around Calgary we came across Fort Calgary. This is a little museum that tells the story of the beginnings of Calgary dating back to 1875 when a small North-West Mounted Police base was established. It was lead by the man depicted with the statue, Col. James F. MacLeod, who was a North-West Mounted Police Commisioner. He was responsible for the area between Fort MacLeod, which is 100km south of Calgary, and Edmonton. You can see the dark clouds as it had really rained just prior to us going on our drive
You can still feel the clouds moving across the sky in this picture. everything looks so fresh after the rain. I like your diptych of the horse and rider and the museum.
