Something Beautiful

Well I have no idea, although I am sure one of you will help me, what type of flower this is but when I saw it I knew it was a picture I had to take and share. So enjoy.

i think these are artifical flowers. the edges are fraying and there's a plastic component in the centre. but it is supposed to be a dahlia. there is a flowershop near me that also sells artificial flowers. some of them are really hard to see if it's fake or not, but fraying edges usually give them away. they are beautiful, though.
