Here is shot taken during our excursions yesterday. Took this while waiting for the train to show up at the Corona Station to take us to the University Hospital to drop of a special teddy bear for the five year old daughter of a friend of ours who was in the hospital on her birthday.
The good news is that after being in there for almost a week she went home today.
Have a great week everyone
Its all an unknown way of transport for me but must be good to be able to take a train into town with no parking worries. Nice of you to drop the teddy in - it would mean a lot!
I envy you with you ability to catch a train. In this vast and backward country we don't have anywhere near enough rail infrastructure. Love the capture and the thoughts it has provoked. Thank you.
Beautiful capture. The station looks very clean and neat - not very busy at the time. It was so nice of you to take the teddy to the girl on her 5th birthday.
Lovely shot of Melody at the station and I am sure your friends daughter really loved her birthday present. so good to hear she is home and well again.
Looks very nice! A clean station always seems so safe- I don't know why that makes a difference! Well, that was a wonderful present you gave to Kyla. I'm glad your trip was successful!
@kwind Kim this is the LRT or Light Rail Transit. It runs from northeast Edmonton to the far southside going through the Universityy of Alberta. They are opening a new line soon that will run from downtown to NAIT
Great shot of the train station, beautiful comp--such incredible interest in this pic. Of course, Melody is the most interesting part of it. :} Nice to see you, pretty lady! I'm so glad your little friend was able to return home. Happy Birthday to her! :)
Glad your little friend is doing better.
