Trust you enjoyed yesterday's public art photo. Today is National Clean Air Day and here is another piece of public art put together for today. Cycling is gaining in popularity here although I don't think anyone would be taking this bike for a ride anytime soon.
The purpose of the public art is to start a dialogue, in this case about the environment, with individual people
When we were in Germany, people rode their bikes a lot around town. When we were in Boston, no one rode bikes, party because of the weather and party because of unsafe drivers. I love how they have turned the bikes into planters.
Very nice and very thoughtful. Bicycles in Malta are for the fittest and for the craziest for the following reasons:
1. Malta is all hilly and you have to be strong to go up and down the local roads.
2. Motorists do not have much respect for bike riders.
