On Saturday we stopped by Enterprise Square which is the downtown extended campus of the Univeristy of Alberta. One of the features of this campus is a small museum which from time to time hosts different exhibits. Currently on of the exhibits is all about butterflies. This piece of art is entitled Monarch Migration and it certainly caught my eye and thought some of you might enjoy it as well
It's the view we had on Beaver Island a few years ago when the monarchs were at a peak. We felt so badly driving as we inevitably hit one. They are so stunning to see in clusters.
the Monarchs are amazing. I've heard the populations are in trouble now due to lack of milkweed along their migration route, due to more building, etc.
I love when the butterflies migrate! Lovely artwork! We have the Miller Moth migration happening now! I can never believe all the areas they get into in your house!
