Well my alphabet series was put on hold today unexpectantly. While at work I tripped and fell into a barrel cutting my upper lip. After the bleeding subsided I was taken to the hospital where I received 11 stitches. For the next few days I am on a restricted diet. So since I never made it to the mall today that photo will have to wait. In the mean time I used this old photo from a meal we had out at Montana's Cookhouse Saloon.
I think maybe after the stitches dissolve I will treat my self to a good hearty meal out.
It is the Family Day Holiday Weekend so I do not have to go back to work until Tuesday
Have a great weekend everyone
Oh this is not good Brian. Hope you are doing ok and heal quickly. Take care and enjoy your long weekend. We are heading into a deep freeze here in Montreal for a couple of days. Hope you are feeling better in the coming days.
Oh Brian so sorry to hear of your accident. Hope you recover soon.
This is one huge meal. Something to look forward too when the stitches have dissolved.
Oh my gosh Brian that sounds so painful, wishing you a speedy recovery. That platter of food certainly looks fit for a King, and something to look forward to once you are back on solids. Have a great family weekend.
Sorry to hear of your accident, hope it mends soon. This huge plate of food certainly looks like a tasty feast, but I bet right now it looks like torture.
That is huge! Could feed a few people. Very sorry for your mishap. I hope you get over it before you starve, haha. Seriously, difficult to keep away from food, isn't it?
Sorry to hear of your little accident. Also. I never heard of "Family Day". Is it a coincidence it falls on our Presidents' Day Weekend? We used to have 2 holidays in Feb. one for George Washington and another for Abe Lincoln. But after they made Martin Luther King a holiday in Jan., they combined them into one Presidents' Day.
I imagine this photo reminds you of what you are missing! This is an extreme way to diet, Brian. It reminds me of the first time I lost 20 pounds in one day (I had a baby).
@colleenculhane Here they decided a number of years ago to have another holiday and since Feb. Did not have any they decided that this would make a nice choice
Saw Melody's post about your accident on FB. So sorry to here about that! I'm glad though that nothing serious happened. That meal looks really good- I'm sure it will taste fantastic when you can eat things like it soon.
This is one huge meal. Something to look forward too when the stitches have dissolved.
I hope theres no scaring
