A Mighty Fine Looking City

Today for the first time in quite awhile we had a Saturday to ourselves. So Melody got to go shopping and l got the chance to take a whole lot of pictures.
While walking on the Victoria Promenade l came across this metal plaque on the sidewalk. It contains a quote by the Rev. D. McQueen from 1887
From this handful of tents and cabins one day will rise a fine city.
I wonder what the good Reverend would think if he could see Edmonton now
