All the lovely bright frosty days seem to have gone. Just very cold and quite gloomy of a morning. The lights still on here in Green Park.
Back in the office today and I just couldn't seem to get myself into the zone. Was quite anxious and stressed trying to get ready and out in time, and remember how leaving the house worked. I'd been in a week or so ago so not sure what was going on.
Probably wasn't helped by Dave waking me up in the middle of the night looking for his phone. Then I couldn't settle and kept thinking I was hearing people in the house.
Office very quiet, though I the intern came in. The department finally issued its hybrid working model - quite a generous offer, but people, who don't know they're born, will still grumble: "why can't we just stay flexible?"
Finally got a breakdown of costs from the 4th plumber. Looks like it could be an option and spoke to my sisters about it.
Cheese omelette, Schitt's Creek and Winterwatch later.
Totally echo your words here. Going back into the office is weird, feels alien despite having done that for decades and only worked from home for 2 years, and packed tubes and trains seem so unappealing. Odd times.
Love Green Park, one of my favourite ambles. Meet a pal from the south coast at Fortnums now and then for a pot of tea in the upstairs more casual cafe and we always walk in Green Park after. Have missed doing that. Nice shot.
I work 3/4 of the time at home and 1/4 at the office. I think that working at home is coming to stay and we will try to find the balance between office and home work. But we must not to forget when we work at the office, shared public transport and talked with other people. Maybe, we still need to be safe and put distance in front of that but we must no to forget the “old times” and return to that when able ;)
