Off today instead of yesterday and thank goodness I'd swapped it - we had so much to do to prepare for a weekend away. Worked out the meal plan and made a huge list.
To Lancaster's garden centre in search of a present for a friend. Settled on a clematis and a pot of phlox. On to Waitrose for a big shop of luxury items or stuff we really didn't want to do without - Sainsbury's order in for the more mundane stuff, but you never know what you're going to get if something's not available. Dave prepared a couple of breads in the bread machine.
Gathered up the random non-food we needed and stowed in crates. I half heartedly started on my own packing but soon got too tired to finish. Random leftover dips and salads for supper.
3 good things
1. Picked up nepeta, thyme and rosemary in the garden centre for us.
2. At least two hairy footed flower bees in the dead nettles and the great tit flitting about.
3. Found lots of sparkly jewellery for the diamond/glittery theme.
Beautiful blossom- I really love this time of year.
