Busy busy non-working day, not surprisingly as Christmas approaches. Made a big list of everything we still need to do and started off by wiping down the kitchen surfaces and getting rid of the clutter. Dave usefully fixed the Christmas candle holder and the kitchen chair back that's been loose for a while.
I went into town after in search of final Christmas presents - a couple of friends proving especially tricky. Museum of the Home shop, Columbia Road and Spitalfields. Found nice roll-on perfume for mum's cracker and bought Italian goodies at Eataly.
Home to firm up Christmas menus and pull together the Christmas online shop order.
1. Lists - getting stuff out of your head and onto paper always helps.
2. Found a present for myself - a cream liqueur with whisky made by my favourite Finnish gin distillery - basically a Finnish Bailey's!
3. Midwinter is here -

Lovely shot. I never sat down yesterday between 8am and 8pm. You sometimes wonder exactly what you do during all that time, never stopping. I didn't have much to show for it either, other than two meals prepared, lussekatter made and a clean house!
I tend to make lists too, but I'm starting to think that I need to make a list reminding myself to take the list with me, and not leave it on the kitchen table.
Lovely shot of this novel building!
