The Year of the Flood by boxplayer

The Year of the Flood

Actually the second in a sort of trilogy - a typical madly clever and dystopian tale from Atwood, featuring a materialist world gone mad, scientific advances too far, new age ecological cults, gene spliced animals and people, and environmental collapse. Read the first one years ago, must read it again.

I greatly enjoyed this book. Ms Atwood writes brilliant books, I read anything she publishes. The Handmaid’s Tale was superb.

You have a delightful reading corner there!

Funnily enough I almost started a Margaret Atwood book today…Alias Grace but picked another instead. It’s still on my kindle. Yours sounds very different!

My goodness! It sounds as though she'd drawn from the world's headlines...all scary stuff!
