These are great - so much more pleasant and obviously much better generally for the environment than the nasty smelly chemical jobbies. These don't smell at all. On the camping field after Singing with Nightingales.
Not all that much sleep - was more or less warm under the duvet and faux fur but the airbed continued to deflate so was on the ground by early morning. Knees also not liking all the crawling about etc. Self service breakfast of Bircher muesli and tea left out for us.
Gave our young camping neighbour Jules a lift to Lewes station before heading home, a slightly sticky journey via the Blackwall Tunnel but not horrendous. Spread the tent out to air, threw away the defunct airbed and are a yummy halloumi fry-up in the afternoon sun.
3 good things
1. I survived a night under canvas.
2. Camper's breakfast.
3. More days off for me, not back at work till Thursday.
I’m no camper-in-a-tent person, never was - bravo to you for getting through it! As Lesley mentioned above, that toilet is a new one for me - great for environmental issues.
This reminded me of the Long Drop toilets in NZ. Out on a walk & you can come across sheds with loos over a deep hole in the ground. They are very efficient!
@pusspup interesting, I suspect they're on the same lines, but maybe these ones are managed more often being on a campsite? Dug out or whatever needs to happen?
