Collecting nectar

I have this very tall flower called a Eupatorium on the allotment as it's too big for my garden. The bees seem to love it and I spent some time time chasing this bee around till I got one picture I was happy with. It was a welcome diversion from the heavy digging I was doing. The ground is like concrete as there's been no rain lately.
great capture! Love the detail

No rain Judith & your ground like concrete!!!!!! Our ground is so wet we have wet places with water standing all over, the ground is so saturated we are squelching about in it. Only a little island but such a contrast.
Love your bee on this unusual plant.

Great capture Judith and I know what you mean about the lack of rain. It's amazing how dry the ground is after all the rain we had earlier in the year

@cookie123 It's a very tall plant - as tall as me, so I suppose the bee does look huge. I did crop the picture but otherwise it's SOOC. @happypat Yes, it was such hard work. I've left huge lumps of the earth for the frost to break up over the winter.
