Honningsvag harbour by busylady

Honningsvag harbour

Honningsvag is the capital of the North Cape of Norway. It is now connected to the mainland by a 6.8 km undersea tunnel. In the spring the Army transport 3,800 reindeer from here over the strait to their summer pastures. In the Autumn, they all swim back with their calves! There wasn't a lot to see here but some people took the overland trip to the North Cape.
Oops ! don't know what happened here !! Looks very nice & pristine with the houses decked to the background !!

Great POV, capturing the color and the way the buildings layer up the hillside.

I like how ordered Scandinavian architecture seems, don't seem to see quite so many ugly buildings either.

@carolmw @spookydirt @taffy @gerry @elinreppe @rosiekind thanks for your kind comments. Actually the POV was from the boat as we entered the harbour, and it's on a long zoom. I think it almost looks like a model village. It looks well cared for here but on closer inspection it was quite down at heel. Not a lot of money here I feel.
