Vardo is an attractive looking port on the North coast of Norway. This picture shows the disused NATO radar station. The rather sad and neglected town houses an interesting fort. All the passengers from our ship rushed up the hill to see the fort as we only had a 45 minute stop here. It must be a strange way of life, waiting for the ferry to arrive every day with hordes of visitors. Check out my other album for a view of the fort. Thank you all for your amazing response to two of my recent pictures which both appeared on the PP - at the same time!
This does look a a very active port with some very smart boats lined up.
I am impressed with your continuing posting & commenting while you are on the move...have you a proper computer with you & you must charge it up every night! Well done Judith!!
@happypat Thanks for your interest. We have a tablet with us so it's light and easy to carry. We download the photos directly to the tablet and I upload from there. As we're travelling on a passenger ferry rather than a cruise ship, there are periods of time when there's not much happening. At other times we're busy getting off at different ports or watching things being loaded from the side of the ship. 365 keeps me busy and it's easier than having to upload them all when we get home.
@happypat We bought a memory card adapter to plug into the micro USB port and downloaded the Nexus media app. Don't ask me though, Peter just told me what to write! Hope this makes sense.
@busylady Thank you Judith sounds good, I will write this down & then can refer to it later. I think it makes sense but will to someone I can ask! thank you Peter.
