I'm presuming this is a fantail of some sort? We are now in the North of the island at Abel Tasman national park, staying in the picturesque resort of Kaiteriteri. We took a walk towards the town centre and this little bird kept hopping along beside us. It seemed he wanted to be photographed.
Great capture, it is indeed a Fantail.. or Maori name Piwakawaka.. well done to get this little bloke as they are very tricky to catch still.. oh nd lucky you to be at Kaiteriteri.. one of my favourite places... enjoy..
