At our book group meeting today we admired our friend's 'antique' collection of Barbie clothes. We even had a play and dressed her up in this gorgeous outfit. The little shoes and details on the bag are so perfect, and the outfits so carefully made. She has even kept the little tiny catalogues of clothes available to buy, with prices in dollars as they lived in Canada when she was growing up in the 1960's.
Barbie has quite a collection of clothes. I was never a dolly girl and my youngest daughter was more of a teddy bear girl, but my daughter did have a Sindy doll, (Barbie's rival) and I remember making clothes for Sindy including a bikini.
