Which room would you like? This is the first Ice Hotel built in Kiruna, Sweden. The rooms are a cool minus 5 degrees, and the beds are made of ice, covered with reindeer skins. Bottom left is the ceremony hall where christenings and weddings take place. Apparently the ceremonies are very short! Next to that is the ice bar where they serve cocktails and drinks in glasses made from ice - at a price! Yes I did treat myself to a cocktail just for the experience. All the other pics are rooms created by ice sculptors. I can't find the price of a one night stay but you can get a three night, four day stay for £895. This includes insulated clothing for your one night in the ice hotel and two nights in warm cabins! Meals and other activities are included. I forgot to mention that we didn't stay there - just had a tour and a look round. That was enough!!
Saw a tv programme on this just the other day ... looked amazing .. been to a Ice Bar and had a cocktail out of a 'ice' glass in Queenstown ... fun experience...
WOW what an amazing experience......having just climbed in to my cosy bed with electric blanket on I'm not sure about idea of ice bed experience.....but then no experience in life is ever wasted!!!
