The river in St Neots is still very fast flowing so we went to the area where the river splits and is controlled by sluice gates. The road is closed here and the river gushing under the pedestrian bridges was very impressive. Not so if your home has been flooded, but as the newish houses near here have been built with potential flooding in mind, and I believe the living areas are all safe. Our own house is far from the river, so is safe apart from the occasional flooded drain.
A busy day with a Chapel closure service this afternoon, and a packed church before they close the doors for the last time. Out this evening at the cinema to see One Life.
Such an impressive image of the power & scale of that water. Good the new houses have been thoughtfully built. Sad about your Chapel closure & I'm going to see One Life on Wednesday.
