Lichen by busylady

Lichen

This is the gate leading o the thatched chapel in Roxton, Bedfordshire. It began life as a barn but was converted to a picturesque chapel in 1822.
Love these old gates, great with the lichen.

Nice gate, the lichen really stands out. Embaressed to say I live a few minutes from Roxton and I can't think where the thatched chapel is *blush*

@thegreenies Turn right at the crossroads and it's a little way down there on the right. I used to live in Roxton and went to the chapel as a child

Nice shot Judith. Every time I've been to the chapel (where my Mum's ashes are scattered) I keep thinking it's about time they repainted the gate
