These two photos are taken on the same date in April, but 35 years apart! Today we called in at the church that we got married in, only to find that a lot had happened to it in that time. It has undergone quite a large extension in that time! Initially my thoughts were “ what have they done!”. Then a kind lady let us in to have a look around & I have to say it looks modern, but really quite amazing inside.
As you can see the stain glass window at the eastern end is still there, also the eagle lecturn, but it was so much bigger & so full of light! Seemingly the work on this started the year after we got married, so we would have been amongst the last to have married in the small old church!
Our thought was to recreate a picture taken in a bench outside, but alas the bench was no longer there, so this is the next best thing!
Fantastic! Interesting to go back, although it can be shocking. The church we got married in has been knocked down and completely rebuilt now! Wishing you both a very happy anniversary. ❤️❤️
Happy Anniversary. Nothing stays the same does it. Whenever we have been back to places they are always totally different to how they were the first time around.
