Another from Liverpool, this time across the Mersey. There is an old German U Boat which has artifacts on show & the submarine itself has been cut into sections for you to view, so that you don’t have to enter a cramped & very rusty old boat.
Also as you can see on the right of the picture , it was equipped with an enigma machine ( though this won’t be the actual one) . For a bit of fun & using a machine set up on screen , you can try & decipher messages. Something right up Phil’s street as you can see.
My father was assigned to send the coded messages when he served. He was located in France and Italy- once in a farm house somewhere in the Italian countryside. So did Phil crack the code?
