Autumnal River Lin by carole_sandford

Autumnal River Lin

Another from Bradgate Park. The river runs through one edge of the park, though I think it is only a small tributary, because it’s more the size of a stream. The rocks that litter the park & some that you can see here in the water, are volcanic. Not far away is a place called Beacon Hill, which thousands of years ago was a volcano & these rocks were spewed out from it at one time. In more recent history it was used as its name suggests for beacons to alert towns of danger or invasion.
Sounds such a lovely place to visit and provides some beautiful photos.
