Happy Valentines by carole_sandford

Happy Valentines

A picture from Monday’s Red Arrows practice. Two jets climb straight up in the sky & then split and dive down in a semi circle & pass each other at the bottom. The result is a heart in the sky. Appropriate for today!
Very nicely caught. I remember watching them do that at Cromer you need a very wide lens to get it all in :)

Perfect for Valentine's Day. The Red Arrows are magnificent, but such show offs aren't they, ha ha.

@onewing they are Babs! A bit pompous from what I’ve heard! They are the best though’

@carole_sandford Definitely pompous. We used to come across them in the Mess at Atrotiri. One of pilots decided to put his pager in a glass of beer to see if it still worked, it didn't, so when it was handed back to the GRSF David charged him for the cost of the pager. Didn't go down well.

Great shot - we saw it on Look North. It was Red6 and Red7 they said.

@mandygravil yes, I think 6&7 are known as the synchro pair.

@onewing I believe in the Officers Mess that is known as “high jinx”!
